ObamaCare implements Washington-based, top-down insurance controls which will force nearly half of all workers off of their current plans. “Bottom line: Sebelius means to dictate what your insurance plan must look like almost from day one, no matter how you get your coverage.”

An internal e-mail sent by Massachusetts Division of Insurance official Robert Dynan outlines his many concerns regarding the state insurance commissioner’s recent decision to impose price controls on Massachusetts health insurers — concerns which should serve as a sobering reminder to all Americans as to what the future will bring if ObamaCare is not repealed.

The costs of Canada’s government-run health-care system are spiraling out of control — eating up about 40 percent of provincial budgets and providing further evidence that ObamaCare’s government-centered approach almost certainly won’t be able to contain costs without rationing care.

As difficult as passing ObamaCare was, implementing the massive health care overhaul, with its countless provisions, will no doubt be even more of a challenge — and with several missed deadlines already, the Obama administration is off to a less than auspicious start.

If Americans want a glimpse into what their future would be like under ObamaCare, they simply need to look north of the border, at Canada’s failing socialized medical system.

The official at the Massachusetts Division of Insurance in charge of monitoring insurer-solvency sent an internal e-mail warning that the state’s government-imposed insurance rate price controls “have no actuarial support” and could lead to “a train wreck.”

“‘Rarely is one afforded a glimpse into the dark heart of the contemporary “Heath Reform” project as unwittingly honest and searing as that provided by an exchange of opinions between Mark Thornton, in a Wall Street Journal op-ed regarding the FDA’s approval process for investigational cancer treatments, and a Dr. James Smith, replying in the Letters to the Editor page on May 13′”

Republicans should defeat the nomination of Dr. Donald Berwick to head Medicare and Medicaid. The President and his allies have said that ObamaCare wouldn’t lead to government control of our health-care system, but that’s exactly what it would do, and Berwick has made it abundantly clear that that’s exactly what he wants.

“Kaiser Health Network’s Julie Appleby has a story in today’s Washington Post on the ‘foursome of longtime industry watchdogs’ who will be leading the health bill’s implementation efforts at [HHS’s] new Office of Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight…headed by former Missouri insurance commissioner Jay Angoff. Bob Goldberg recently profiled Angoff in the American Spectator, observing that ‘Angoff’s tenure in both Missouri and New Jersey is associated with driving out health insurers and driving premiums sky high.'”
